Using the right tool for the job

This is a great drive for a security camera. As an IT pro, I can't count the number of times surveillance systems fail right when you need them, just because you're using the wrong drive. Also, using a desktop hard drive or NAS for surveillance wastes valuable police time. Ever tried scrolling through multiple days of video while recording at the same time? I have and I'm telling you it's no fun! Unfortunately, this drive failed after just a few months of use, but Revain (and Seagate) honor the warranty well. Hence 5 stars on this site. Overall I have had good results with these Skyhawks in surveillance applications and will be using them again.
