Can't decide between 3-4 stars, it really depends on the application. It is not suitable for every task. The reason I bought this rope was to use it with a sliding block. Rope is king of the forest, but a fixed length of rope wasn't ideal in our situation. Firstly, this cable offers very good value for money. True double braid static line is a valuable piece of equipment. Unfortunately, for purposes that require such a rope, it is unsuitable in several respects. Cons #1: The fabric on the outer shell is very flimsy, making it not ideal for abrasion. When the rope is rubbing against something like trees or the ground, a tight weave is needed for durability and to prevent dirt from accumulating in the rope. It is stretched by mechanical force, e.g. when towed by a tractor, creating a weak point that increases the likelihood of breakage. When you need a truly durable rope for the job, Yale rope is your best bet. It costs a lot more, around $1 per foot. but stronger than steel wire. However, for most other light non-workloads, this rope is overkill to get the job done and is incredibly good value.
