I've ordered a few of these in the past and 2/3 have failed. The first one just burned something in the bulb and I noticed it early on. I thought it was my fault, maybe bad plumbing and water got in. But that onion still had 127 days to live, and we began to smell and taste chemical smells and tastes in our water. I finally found out that it was leaking and I'm glad it was because as you can see from my photos the inside has failed. Whatever happened inside the lamp, some chemicals have built up around the lamp, body and inlet. Eventually it expanded so much that it broke the seal and began to leak. This chemical has also been added to our water. I contacted the seller and they said that I bought it too long ago (I buy them in advance to be ready when the old one comes out) and after that they didn't answer. . DO NOT BUY THIS, don't poison your family to save on the original lamp.
