It was a promotional watch. A friend who owns a grocery store gave it to me in 2003 because it didn't tell the time accurately. I found that the quartz movement's magnet coil pole was weak and remagnetized it by rubbing it against the speaker magnet. It was working until last week and while trying to do the same repair I broke the coil wire to the circuit board. So I ordered a Mudder replacement kit and installed it in this old clock. I have salvaged shaft nuts and washers from a damaged clockwork and used them mainly to install a new one on the clock board; because it is a little longer and so as not to put pressure on the body of the mechanism. In less than 15 minutes I was up and running perfectly. I particularly like the smooth movement of the second hand, reminiscent of that of a Rolex watch. This wall clock sits in my garage/workshop and has a transparent suction cup in the lower white area for hanging a thermometer and humidity indicator. Can highly recommend and will buy another one for loud hours in my music studio.
