Terrible product. After careful assembly and reading the instructions, the heating pad only reaches a temperature of 74.2 degrees (2 degrees above room temperature) after a few days of waiting. That's a far cry from my desired 86 degrees required for my pet. I even bought a thermostat hoping that somehow my problem would be solved, but the sensor I put directly on the glass where the gasket was stuck confirmed my suspicion that the product was defective. I now have a useless heating pad on my tank (thankfully the glue seems pretty useless too so it's easy enough to remove).
