My flashlight came with a non-removable rubber and plastic cover that melted on contact with hot metal and became very hard in cold weather. I added a TIG button and wanted to route the wire inside the lid. I know it doesn't compare to leather, but I'm a hobby welder and durability was low on my priority list. It's made from lighter denim but hard to beat for the price. This is the longest zipper I've ever seen, but it worked perfectly. I was able to trim the cap to the correct length to fit my 15ft hose and hopefully things will get a bit more flexible in cooler temperatures.
