Wanted to get him off the phone and do something challenging outside. I didn't want to buy him a cheap toy to start with and ruin any chance of developing understanding and some skill in the sport. I also didn't want to spend mega-dollars on a top-notch beginner's board. I got exactly what I wanted from this company through Amazon. Mid-size wheels, bearings, bogies, platform size just right for a 100 lb boy. No nasty designs on the bottom - if he wants, he can paint it himself. Delivered in time for Christmas. He unrolled it and the first person to tear it up in the house was the boy's father. Maybe next time Dad will wear a helmet, right? LMAO. After the RC vehicle/Christmas present batteries ran out this year, Boy started running around the house, learning balance, turns, handling, speed and how to smash Mom's kitchen cabinets. They (mom and dad) looked up the address of the nearest skate park and ordered the boy knee pads, elbow pads and introduced him to the helmet again. All in all a perfect day for the Demolition Uncle and a shot at freedom for the boy. Perfect guys.
