Does what I want with power tools and hand tools

I'm new to working with sharpening stones, so I can't say exactly how good it is. All I know is that the rubber doesn't slip, it's amazing, it comes with instructions, and I think my knives are sharper (I didn't last the recommended 15 minutes so the lack of sharpness is probably my fault). I like it better than the much lower grit stone I originally got, it makes me a little less nervous about ruining my knives.

Pros

1000 grit can be sharpened to remove dull edges; The 6000 grit is used for ultra fine finishing and to enhance the edge of the knife.
