Description of πŸͺ“ Ykooe Waterstone Sharpening Whetstones: Silicone Abrasive & Finishing Products

This dual sided grit whetstone is made of durable white corundum material, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, which makes the knife easier to sharpen. As a must-have tool for indoor or outdoor knives grinding, it is suitable for grinding all kinds of tools like chef's knives, kitchen knives, steak knives, fruit knives, sushi knives, meat cleavers, scissors, hunting knives, carving tools, axes, swords, razors etc. The grit 1000 can be sharpened to remove the dull edges; The grit 6000 is used for super-fine finishing and to refine your knife edge. The non-slip silicone base keeps this stone from sliding around when sharpening. The operation is very simple, you only need to soak the stone in water for 10-15 minutes before use, and place it smoothly on the platform, then grind and polish it by maintaining the angle of the blade (10-20Β°).

Does what I want with power tools and hand tools

I'm new to working with sharpening stones, so I can't say exactly how good it is. All I know is that the rubber doesn't slip, it's amazing, it comes with instructions, and I think my knives are sharper (I didn't last the recommended 15 minutes so the lack of sharpness is probably my fault). I like it better than the much lower grit stone I originally got, it makes me a little less nervous about ruining my knives.

Pros
  • 1000 grit can be sharpened to remove dull edges; The 6000 grit is used for ultra fine finishing and to enhance the edge of the knife.
Cons
  • little things

Universal sharpening stone!

This sharpening stone is very useful! Here's my list to make things easier! Pros: - Easy to use: just follow the initial setup instructions by soaking it in water and you're done after that. - Versatility: It can sharpen multiple items. I've sharpened everything from knives to hair clippers. - Double-sided: different grain on both sides. - Rubber grip: This grip ensures that the stones do not slip off when sharpening the item. Cons: - No! Final Thoughts? This sharpening stone is very useful!

Pros
  • The double-sided whetstone is made of durable white corundum material, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, which makes knife sharpening easier.
Cons
  • Crumpled

High quality stones. I need to understand your grit :^)

Very good for finishing/polishing steel. Please don't blame the stones if you don't understand that 1000/6000 is not for removing material such as repairing burrs, creases, chips or unfinished blade edges. This can be done by sitting for hours, but it's really more about buffing and finishing the edge. This is what makes a blade razor sharp. Get 200/600 or 100/400 for the top edge. This is a triangular edge shape that (in most cases) should be even on both sides. It will take MUCH less time and
