Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Forged in Fire: Blacksmith Craft Dice Set for Dungeons & Dragons (DND) by Pogo Shakey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not all are the same size as standard cubes; matt polished bronze

I received color 02 polished bronze and was hoping that there would be a color difference between the background and the color of the bronze as can be seen in the seller's photos. Unfortunately, there is very little contrast here, making the bones extremely difficult to read. That's a bummer because I debated going for a different color (like Mithril) but thought polished bronze would be a more "rustic" set that I thought he'd enjoy. I wouldn't recommend going with polished bronze bones. They are not nearly as bronze in numbers and edges as in the seller's pictures. I was also upset that the sizes of the cubes are not standard. d20 and d6 are good, but the others are slightly smaller than standard dice. See my photos for comparison. I've been looking for Revain to compare dice for quite some time and haven't bought any other brand because several of their reviews mentioned size differences. Blackcraft Smith Dice didn't seem to have people saying the dice sizes weren't regular sizes, even in the Q&A section when specifically asked about it. Too bad. Individually wrapped for each cube and a cloth pouch is a nice touch. The weight of the cubes is also good. My husband loves the bones but if I had seen them before he got them I would have sent them back and ordered from a different company. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision if you are like me. Go through many products and reviews to decide how best to spend your money and get what you hope for. I would have sent them back but sent them to my mother who was visiting us in Asia for Christmas. I didn't get a chance to see her before she brought her to us.
