These swag curtains are awesome! The lights are built into copper filaments, which is better than other brands I've reviewed. I chose a warm color and set it a few inches away from the wall for a clearer background. These lamps have 8 modes that you can change on the actual USB stick (that plugs into the wall adapter). Just press the button for different modes (and 8 times for off). The instructions only say 6 modes on USB and 8 on the remote but my USB has all 8 so hooray! removed eh. The following information applies to the remote control. At first I thought it wouldn't work, but then I realized that for full functionality you need to be near a USB port plugged into the wall or within line of sight. It's easy to turn on, but changing modes or turning it off is a little trickier. If the mode change doesn't work on the first try, first press the power button immediately before the number button for the mode you want. Sometimes a double press will disable it unless you are in direct line of sight of the USB. And yes, I even tried a new battery, so that wasn't the case. The board just sucks. But it works, so don't give up.
