C was another option

Forced to use it due to the design of my front door. Went through a few latches and had to work with two handles. I wish I could find another option there, wouldn't mind paying a lot more for a better choice. I always had to make a few tweaks to make it work and I can't bring myself to trust it after seeing all the problems we've encountered. In fact, their entire design and concept is flawed. Pot cast zinc which is very brittle so it damages/flakes/breaks too easily to be the main method of locking the door in your home. - The screws that mount the installed handle are always too long (on all handles/sets I've bought) and down before everything is properly tightened and secured to the door. I have to grind the screws and fix the threads so they fit the door properly. When the locking mechanism fails or wears out, the locks usually default to the unlocked position. The locking mechanism falls by gravity, which is the unlocked position. The deadbolt has to be pushed up to lock the lock and it's worn out on the last handle so a simple knock on the door will cause it to fall down to open (in the end we couldn't even get it to do it to stay up and lock). The door sometimes binds, and shaking the door on the rail was enough to break the latch catch that is connected to the door frame and disable the lock. to the lock design). If I set it up so it clears the inner hole in the handle, the latch hook wouldn't catch on the notch in the frame mount. If I lowered it so that the hook clicked into place, the sides of the frame mount housing would bang against the handle and the door would not close fully. I had to adjust the mount with a dremel to hook it up.
