I would have preferred to give 3.5 stars but I thought 4 would be enough. The set turned out to be quite reliable and I feel generous. I bought this set because I was looking for a simple BBQ set that included all the basics. Since camping can be difficult for any gear, I was specifically looking for something cheaper but functional. It met my expectations and then slightly exceeded them. After reading other reviews I was sure I was making a mistake but I really couldn't find another set at this price point (I bought it cheaper than now). When the set arrived I was immediately disappointed. simply because it looked smaller than expected and I was concerned that the items inside would be too. The case is definitely NOT high quality, in fact mine cracked on the side in a fall. Inside, the story gets better. First, the case really is a cheap product. Although everything was in its place for me after the transport, I later realized that sometimes it is difficult to put something back in its place. Especially the grills. They don't seem to want to return to their grooves, but I've found that if you take the tip and center of the skewer, insert it at an angle, and then twist the rest, it will force it back into place. The fact is, however, that the crockery actually looks more subtle and was actually a decent size. The wooden handles are nice and sleek with leather hoops on the ends which I used to hang next to the grill and they all hold the metal well. I haven't noticed any play on any of my bottoms. The tongs were bent nearly 1/2 inch, but that didn't bother me, and corn on the cob is difficult to manage. I think the metal is too thick but they were really just a bonus for me so I didn't mind either. In general, your purchase will not be great. Having a dad who toasts almost every night I would be embarrassed to give this to him and I'm not sure he would even accept it. For the price and what you might only think about camping or grilling a few times a year, it will work.
