Great charger! This Schumacher EV charger charges at 16 amps, or just over 3800 watts per hour. Charges a Chevy Volt from zero to full in 4.5 hours. This adds approximately 1000 additional watts per hour over a standard 12 amp volt (120/240v) charger. A big plus is the longer cord and the included standard outlet adapter. Also, I appreciate the fact that it's made in Mexico and not China. If you want it made in the USA, Clipper Creek is your top brand (as well as a great charger). I've spent money on other Chinese fakes and they all ran at 12 amps. It works on 120 or 240 volts. The great thing is that at 16 amps you can get by with 12/2 Romex wire on a double pole switch. I use this on my other EV for slow charging as it says it's better for the battery. To find out how long that charger takes to charge your EV, divide the kilowatts of your EV's usable battery by the kilowatts of that charger. That means: Chevy Bolt 60 kW / 3.8 kW = 15.8 hours Super satisfied!
