Quite acceptable. I'm glad it's small and pretty quiet. Working with multiple batches, I was able to grind an entire bag of beans in about 10 minutes with no problems. The coffee came out with the same fine texture. It's a little messy, so be careful not to release pressure on the lid before you're done grinding, and maybe put something underneath to catch any spills when you remove the lid to empty. If you want a perfectly designed, tidy lid, go for the more expensive model. As someone who only needs it when I accidentally buy whole beans, it works and I'm happy with it. My only disappointment was that there wasn't a small brush to take the ground coffee out of the machine when you're done grinding. I used my fingers but it would be more civilized to have a brush. Four stars for the messy appearance and lack of a brush, but it's a solid 4 stars and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who, like me, only needs it every now and then.
