They fit snugly over medium socks but easily fit my 10.5 meter feet. I didn't need a shoehorn even though they are brand new. Inside is a thin but effective liner that your foot rests on, which probably adds to the comfort. Fit, workmanship and materials look very good. The product description from Walmart states that they are 'synthetic' and have a 'synthetic sole'. I don't know what that means, but they look and feel like real shoes. I'm having a hard time getting used to this style. Of course, style is totally subjective, but I find them a bit long and pointy (see photo of these loafers next to equally comfortable casual loafers in the same size). That extra piece of shoe in the front also makes walking a little different as when I normally finish a step on my left foot and was on my right foot, I still finish my left that extra length. Okay so the shoes aren't broken in yet so the sole doesn't flex much and I know new shoes take a little getting used to. But they look and feel pretty weird to me, so I thought I'd mention it. Please note I'm in my 60's, not particularly stylish and don't dress often (mostly weddings, funerals and dress code cruise ships). Maybe pointy shoes are back in fashion. I'll be one of the last to know, so take my comments with a grain of salt. If you like the look, you will almost certainly like the shoes.
