I bought Sweet 16 items and when I saw the design of this plate set I knew it was them. They look even better live. What I particularly like about this particular gold pattern is that I don't feel the need to buy a set of charger plates with it. I only use loading plates to make my table look better when the design of my plates is plain or plain. I honestly don't know what else they're good for lol... But the design of these cymbals is feminine enough for that Sweet 16 party, yet sturdy enough to look amazing even without the loading cymbals to support them. They're made out of fairly thin plastic so they sit flatter than I imagined when a salad plate is placed on a dinner plate. However these plates are for a couple of family members and a group of teenagers and they are way better than plastic dollar store plates when I wanted something special that wouldn't break the bank so I think they are perfect for this event . One plate arrived broken which was a little disappointing as I'm planning on 40 but luckily I don't actually expect 40 to turn up. The plates looked beautiful as I spread them out on a fuchsia tablecloth in my dining room just to see how it would look. The gold pattern is fully intact, no chips or scratches on any plate I have received. In general, everything is fine except for one broken disk. Very close to a perfect set and excellent value for money.
