The switch works fine, but the LED failed after just a couple months - and that was with light use. I used this in a 12v system in my truck to occasionally charge a second battery in the back of the truck for use when camping. The switch is used so I only opt to charge the secondary battery when the truck is running. I control the charging at the dash, and that light is supposed to help remind me when the switch is on, so I don't draw on the main battery when the truck is not running. Also, it should allow me to look in the cab of the truck in the dark and see that there is no light on = no draw on the main battery. Considering I bought this specifically for the LED feature (and the safety cover to prevent bumping and accidentally turning it on with the truck off) - this is a major shortcoming for my use.
