Great set for under twenty dollars. I tried one at Harbor Freight and couldn't get through centered holes. This set worked. As others have noted, the set screws in the drill stops are of poor quality. I was so used to replacing hardware with new purchases that it didn't bother me. I really appreciate having a "bolts and screws" wholesaler in town with very good prices on such screws. I used this tool when assembling a table of my own design that involved all three types of joints: corner, edge, and face. , with good results, using about 30 dowels. A friend of mine who assembles musical instruments used dowels and tried this item but said it wasn't accurate enough for him; but he compared it to a device that cost over $200. I checked and used the supplied glue for some testing, but I prefer to use regular Carpenters glue for my entire project. I've used a lot of picket fence screws in my project, and I'd like to have an alternative to a dowel when I don't want the screw to be visible, e.g. B. for edging an edge on the side of my table. .As for wobble, even if your stock is well secured and you use a high speed drill, there may be some wobble. I overcame this by changing the position of the hand on the body of the tool, holding the main body rather than the handle, and trying to keep the hand away from the drill bit and drill stop. The biggest initial problem was the guard rail handles. which when dropped just like to roll, and in one instance they rolled back maybe 8 feet from where they fell and took quite a while to find. line, I really like this tool.
