Review on NaviShade Navigation Screen Protector Slots by Ronald Howlett

Great purchase - just what I needed

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this fits and works in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma which has a backup camera and audio screen which is great is prone to washing out in the sun, sometimes dangerous when I need a rear camera. Does it perfectly shade 100% of the sunlight? no Is this significant improvement worth the cost? Yes, in any case. I was a little concerned that if I put this thing in the CD slot the audio system would block attempts to play the CD all the time. No worries in my car. You can always remove this screen if you *want* to play the CD. Someone posted a review saying they had to cut out the screen flaps on their 2012 Tacoma to customize the audio control buttons. This was not necessary on my 2015 Tacoma. But I've found that by setting the side flaps back, I have better access to the buttons, particularly the top tuner button on the right. That is, I placed the right flap on the left and the left flap on the right, so the side flaps don't touch the radio area, but lean towards it. It also eliminates rattle and gives a bit more side shading. Many Thanks. Worth a try for your car when bright sunlight is washing out your audio system screen.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
