They were a huge hit with my grandkids! We've been going to Wells Beach, Maine every year for years. There are kites every year, and over the years we've tried to fly 'traditional' kites - they were difficult to get airborne and keep up with - causing much frustration for young children (and old grandparents!). This year I decided to do a little research and actually read about kites and pay attention to the reviews. I fell in love with them instantly and thought how cute they would look over the ocean. They are amazing! Straight out of the box (they're VERY big btw, and those tentacles are long, long, long) they go up and away due to the design of the chamber! I bought extra kite rope for them and they were soon flying at about 500 feet. My grandchildren (6 and 10 years old) loved them and were in full control. They soon found that the kite's rapid pull prompted them to swim toward the water. They got a lot of positive attention and many fans came to see them live. Folding them neatly to store in the included pretty little pouches was a little tricky (I ended up laying the dragon on the bed after first twisting and securing the tentacles), but not impossible. I can only recommend them and would buy them again in a heartbeat! Excellent value for money!
