Review on SPI Home Cat Clock by Prince Aguirre

My cat Leyla passed away a few years ago and I keep a small collection of black cat items in her memory. When I saw this elegant, shiny and smooth watch, I knew I needed it. I am very pleased to report that after a few months of ownership it is still working great and keeping time well even after being accidentally dropped. Mine had no trouble balancing, and given its weight (it weighs enough to be a paperweight or two) it's actually pretty stable. It feels like it's made of quality materials, even though the dial is plastic. Also, I like the sound it makes: It makes a very thin, low tick; It's discreet enough not to distract me or invade my head, but just enough to put my mind at ease. Only criticism would be the gold outline. It can be a bit hard and give a pointy look to the cat's face. I thought a lot about painting mine and just making them black, no gold, but ended up liking the look. If you are thinking about buying this watch, look at the photos up close: the highlight on the cat's face is NOT due to the lighting (unlike the highlight on the neck and lower body), but gold spatter. If you don't like the look of gold spray, you might not like the watch. If you like it or don't mind it, do it!
