I bought this cable because I had subwoofer hum. I used Monoprice's notoriously cheap cable. I bought a new receiver (Denon S703H) and found that I need to twist the cable in a certain direction to avoid hum. I found a blue jean cable somewhere on the internet and decided to give it a try. First, yes, the cable is expensive. But the connectors look good and the cable looks premium. The best thing is that it solved my hum problem. Conclusion: Cable quality is important. Shielding matters. I am happy to support you all. I need other cables to improve my surround system and will be looking for BJC again.
