Thin and thin very difficult to apply leaves a sticky residue on the car

I tried to apply it several times but it is so thin and flimsy that it kept wrinkling and huge bubbles. Attempting to remove and reattach it caused it to stretch and deform. Eventually I gave up and decided to throw it away and it left sticky marks all over my car.
