I like this glue gun; There are not many other models with two temperatures and a thin nozzle. I use hot glue extensively on my projects and it is very reliable and easy to use. However, if you use it for more than two hours in a row, leave it on low heat or leave it unplugged for about ten minutes; This will prevent it from overheating and burning the plastic inside. Overall, this offers excellent value for money and is safer and more convenient than two separate low and high temperature guns. It's comfortable to hold and I found the stand very comfortable; It folds up to fit in small spaces. While they can deliver glue for up to 5 minutes once unplugged, I prefer to leave it plugged in while I work on my larger projects as I use it a lot (but always unplug it when you're done!) . If you are inexperienced with a glue gun: always use the right heat for your material; Fabric, felt, flowers, and paper do not handle heat well, so a low temperature is better. Everything holds together better at high temperatures; but be careful, it gets VERY hot. It will start to smoke when used on more delicate materials and paper, so be careful; If you run a nearby fan on low/medium, it will cool down faster. Always allow the glue to cool for a few minutes before touching it. You can get a second-degree burn if you touch it while it's still hot. Remember that some of the glue will seep through the felt and fabric when you press the pieces together. So always use a piece of cold metal or a thick piece. Cardboard to hold the pieces together if you don't want to burn your fingers. I use the handle of a utility knife (not a knife) as a press; It won't stick to the metal after it cools, just pull it hard so it doesn't end up grinding. If you want to cool the glue quickly or prevent it from sticking to a metal object when removing it, keep a bowl or cup with 1/2 water and 1/2 ice nearby and leave the metal knife handle in it. It's getting very cold; Dry it completely with a paper towel, and after applying the glue you can press down to smooth the glue haze and cool it down at the same time. - On burns, never use milk or butter to soothe the burn. they relieve pain but prevent your skin from healing; Always use cool water and antibiotic/burn cream and bandage. Keep the area around your glue gun clean and never leave the cord hanging or where someone could trip over it or a child could pull it off or use it! Children can easily burn themselves on the barrel or nozzle! Stay away from pets too! Protect your surfaces and make cleaning easier: Hold a few sheets of paper or a small sheet of aluminum foil under your hot glue gun to catch any drips. It is fairly easy to remove from plastic and metal tables, but can damage wooden tables. I see a lot of people complaining about glue leaking out of the nozzle when not in use, but to be honest it doesn't really matter. Hot glue is melted in the barrel and directed downwards. I don't see any major inconvenience in it, all you have to do is pull it up or gently rub the attachment on the table. Never lay it on its side to avoid dripping. "Flyers" are long, almost spider-like pieces of glue that remain after application. You can help reduce them by briefly rubbing with the nozzle near where you applied the glue or on a nearby piece of paper or metal; You can then easily remove it after the glue has dried (it will keep moving if you pull while the dab is still hot). If you're having trouble pushing glue through the trigger, it may not be hot enough. You can heat it up quickly by turning it on high heat for a few minutes and then back on low heat for just under a minute.
