That was my first and only peephole set. I made sure to take one with instructions. I've checked with others to make sure I'm doing it right with others. I had a cutting board to protect any surface I wanted to hit with a hammer. I had a big hammer. These eyelets do not fit. The metal just wasn't sticking to the back. I tried so hard but gave up and just sewed them on. As mentioned in other reviews the cutting tool didn't cut which is already a non-functional part. The anvil fits the ears well, but
