Besides the fact that this radio takes up very little space on the bedside table (I know it's not designed for that place), but the screen and buttons disappoint me the most. They could really improve screen readability. The numbers aren't easy to read, and "illuminating" them is like turning on a light in a room, but reading the top part where the keys are isn't enough. "Buttons" are not found unless you are standing over them. Again, I know this wasn't intended as an "alarm clock," but that was my reason for buying it because I needed something that took up less room on my bedside table. Will the above complaints still bother the kitchen counter? Yes. I find it difficult to read the time when the setting on the watch is not bright. I would not recommend using it as a bedside alarm clock. On the kitchen table? Maybe. You need light and a look at it to be able to read the little buttons at the top and know what to press. The radio is good and looks good but some help to make it easier to use would be nice.
