Review on πŸ”ͺ Laminated Carbon Steel Knife Blade Blank - Morakniv Wood Carving No.106, 3.2 Inch by Amanda Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wildly sharp blade.

I love Mora knives. Swedish steel is something special. It really says something when Japan imports iron ore from there to make high quality steel. I'm not a woodcarver, but this blade shape and size was very useful to me. I cut off part of the shaft and wrap it with paracord. It makes a nice fixed EDC blade. The blade is very hard. It will last and hang around for a while. Don't mess with it! The core is too hard to withstand bending. You can actually see the line where the steel is laminated around the hard core. Keep it lubricated because it's carbon steel. It's made for sharpness, not corrosion resistance. All in all, a great knife for anyone who wants to get their hands on it. I'll probably take another one and put a horn or bone handle on it.

Pros
  • Laminated carbon steel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

This is a great knife blade, amazingly sharp, easy to install into a handle but it does rust easily
