Not the best blade I've had.

Well the blade is a bit dull since I opened the box. Around him were some strange black dots. During the examination, I accidentally dropped the blade and the tip broke off. I had to sand it down with a belt sander. Its cutting properties are moderate. I sharpened it to a razor but it doesn't hold up well. Overall I'd say it should be worth at least half the price I paid for it. Even some very cheap Chinese blades have outperformed this. Not what I would have expected from a reputable blade…

Pros
  • Hunting knife
Cons
  • Lightly set

Great tool for woodworking!

Really great tool. Too bad I didn't add it to my woodworking toolbox much sooner. I will probably use this item for gifts in the near future.

Pros
  • Blade weight: 66 g (2.3 oz)
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Surface imperfections but sharp

Would give 5 stars but I bought a couple of these blades and both of these had pits on the surface and I had to polish vigorously to get rid of them. This is the first time I've seen this on a Mora blade but the good news is they are very sharp and I've cut with both and they do a very good job.

Pros
  • DIY knife maker knife blade blank
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

A wildly sharp blade.

I love Mora knives. Swedish steel is something special. It really says something when Japan imports iron ore from there to make high quality steel. I'm not a woodcarver, but this blade shape and size was very useful to me. I cut off part of the shaft and wrap it with paracord. It makes a nice fixed EDC blade. The blade is very hard. It will last and hang around for a while. Don't mess with it! The core is too hard to withstand bending. You can actually see the line where the steel is laminated…

Pros
  • Laminated carbon steel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
