The overall experience couldn't be better.

I've been thinking about SUP boards for a while now and trying to find something sensible that suits me. Also, I had nowhere to put it. I live full-time in a small apartment and I'm by no means the kayak racing or competitive type. I like it for the fitness benefits mixed with the ability to get into bodies of water. It's also great for a calm sea swim. Considering the "going nowhere" phenomenon, I was still REALLY out of the market. THEN I face the bouncy castles. I was initially skeptical because in our consumer world we think of inflatable boats or other watercraft that are made out of a thin layer of plastic that punctures easily. Not getting off on a tangent, but it couldn't be further from the dinghy situation (at least GILY). This thing is HEAVY. To set the table, we don't compare apples to oranges. Inflatable boards and rigid boards are slightly different. Don't try to DIRECTLY compare one to the other. They're different, but that's neither good nor bad. Both work and now I know from experience. The Gili package comes in a box measuring approximately 18 x 36 inches. I haven't measured, but that's the range in my head. Everything arrives in a bag (which comes with padded backpack straps - a big plus). So in my place, I unroll it and blow it up. That PVC that this thing is made of is very, very strong. I inflated it to 15psi and stood on it. Pretty crazy how little they give. I was very, very happy with how it worked. The price is too good for a product of this quality. I've read many conflicting reviews on other forums. There is a guy on the internet who reviews them professionally and even mentions that this product is made in a quality factory and with quality materials. I love the GILI guarantee and after reading how the brand was launched it was a no brainer. Oh, and the pay is pretty quick when it comes to that. Good tracking too. I can literally take it to any river, lake, pond or body of water without a huge contraption on my car or a rigid board hanging out the window. Once that's done I rinse it off, put it away and goodbye.
