Very durable and seems quite stable. That makes more sense to me than a wall mount.

I'm new to big TVs. The 32" is the largest I've ever had, with a flat screen or CRT. I've been happy watching movies on my laptop or iPad, and sometimes watching movies on a small flat screen in the bedroom since I'm not in the action. Movies, Sports or other videos that need a big screen. However my eyesight was deteriorating and I didn't like that the TV had to be on a huge table stand which ruined the view of the room so it could be closer to the bed.I did a closet across the room but only 35" wide. The legs that come with every cheap 50" or larger TV I could find didn't fit into its edges. There was no room to put it around to hang on the wall, and I certainly wasn't interested in paying someone $100 or more to install it, which would also mean paying someone to move it, we nn I wanted to change its location. However, I was able to get a 55 inch TV for free for two days. I didn't install it but brought it home. The TV stand I can't use now was about $279 7 years ago. I found this very reasonable stand that could be used for TVs up to 6 5 inches. It sounded really safe since I'm 55". The TV only weighs 30 pounds. When I opened the box I was intimidated because it comes with all the screws and bolts for almost every size and brand on the market. My TV had four screw holes on the back spaced 16" apart. The rails (16" spacing) only interfere with the RCA connectors which I don't need. I would suggest carefully checking the specs and location of your TV connections to ensure everything you need is available. In my case I only need a coaxial cable and 2 HDMI connectors. Ethernet would be nice but for some reason I have a stupid TV. I'm sorry but I don't want Revane or Google listening to me in my bedroom. I use a TiVo with a great remote and user interface and an Apple TV mainly for streaming from my phone, but I'm not concerned about privacy anyway, except of course that Comcast, my TV and internet provider, can track any program that i have watch and every website i visit. I put it on the dining table where there is plenty of space for all the pieces and great lighting. I estimated the height more based on my perception of safe balance to avoid falling. I used medium height which works great. The base is made of glass. A little strange, but dust is easy to remove. There are rubber feet that are easy to peel and stick, they are big and thick enough for stability and won't damage the surface. There is enough space between the bottom of the TV cabinet and the top of the cabinet to place my Apple TV and TiVo, and both are easily accessible with an IR signal. TiVo makes it a somewhat smart TV (I can get Netflix, Revain Prime, YouTube, Hulu etc but not terrible TV interfaces and I NEVER have to deal with the Comcast interface. The TiVo remote selects inputs and has a full keyboard. I only use the TV remote for the sleep timer and sooner or later to adjust the basic settings. The default setting is ok so far. But I digress. This stand is a single part. I needed another person to help lift the tv and hang it on the stand. It hangs on shark fin hooks. Very simple and easy to move. The last task requires two people unless the person has a very large arm span. Two normal women could do it Installed a few minutes after assembling the stand, which took a while as we had never done this before I gave her extra screws that she would recycle. I am very happy with it. Why do most TVs come with chunky, giant feet is all I can see. It's about meeting the requirements but saving a lot of money. I feel like I saved money by buying this stand instead of a wall mount. It also adds so much flexibility. I recommend this product. I'm not blaming the unavailability of the RCA connectors as I blame the TV's design for that.
