Review on πŸ” Progressive Prepworks Perfect Burger Press, HPM-10 - Large Hamburger Patty Maker for Stuffed Burgers, Sliders, 1/3 lb or 1/4 lb Patties - Non-Stick, Highly Rated BBQ Tool by Michael Dunn

Not very strong but works great and will hold up with some care

This is the second Progressive Perfect Burger Press I've bought. The first was the previous white version, which lasted about two months before splitting in half. It's simple and works great. It makes 4-1/2" diameter patties which I use for 4 to 8 oz hamburgers using the included "recessed insert". I brush the inside with peanut butter, reapplying every 3-4 patties and have very few problems with them sticking. Only complaint is that the top part of the press isn't very strong. My first one broke after two months (probably 30-40 burgers). It's really not strong enough, to be used as a "press" despite the name. Now I slide the hamburger down slightly before using the top to flatten and even out the patties to relieve tension in the center. It takes a few extra seconds but it makes perfectly smooth and even patties with little effort.the top was firmer, this press would be really perfect in my opinion. As for white(old version) vs gray(new) I've had both side by side and looked at her very closely. they are 100% identical. The plastic is the same thickness, the texture is the same, the markings are the same. The only change is the color.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not sure
