Real Ball Bearing!: Door Hardware & Locks

These casters are real ball bearings. With them the doors slide MUCH easier. If replacing the casters with a different mounting bracket, install it so that the bottom of the caster is the same distance from the top of the door as the original caster. Make sure the slotted bottom bracket also allows the doors to slide properly. Some bottom brackets are adjustable. See also my review of the 16216 nylon ball-free bearing assembly. I redid all the sliding doors in our house but it took some work.
