I installed this memory in my Synology DS412+ NAS to increase storage space from 1GB to 2GB and it worked beautifully. Using a YouTube disassembly video [.], I was able to disassemble the NAS and upgrade the storage in less than 10 minutes. For the DS412+, I did not increase the memory above 2GB due to issues reported on the Synology forums regarding unusually high CPU usage/unexpected system behavior at 4GB. Once together the system has just started working - very pleased.
