Extremely disappointed.

I would give 0 stars if possible. it looks cool That's all. I put up a great vinyl in my man cave. I'm a bit of an audiophile, but I knew I would see a drop in quality. But I wanted a desktop player with a headphone jack so I could use my vinyl while working from home. I was expecting the sound quality to not be as good as stereo, but it was so much worse I don't even know how to describe it. Maybe it's the tonearm and the stylus. But I put on brand new 180 gram vinyl and might as well listen to AM radio in a 1982 station wagon. But I thought the speakers were just poor quality. never mind I put my $400 pro headphones in and now it's even worse because the headphones are picking up a lot more noise than before. Absolutely no lows. That's why we buy vinyl. Rich sound. So I don't think it's good directly on the headphone jack. Let me try another way. I have a Spark amp as a guitar sample amp. Slight improvement. But it is very difficult to adjust the knobs. The setting changed with each input and wasn't distracting. Maybe too hard. I have an amp for bass and drums. Just some pens. But it's made for bass. nope Not better. Eventually I went to my good stereo (almost concert quality), plugged in an RCA phono stage and hooked it up to my stereo and it's still complete crap. Tinny is a massive understatement. You get more bass by tapping the table with the stylus. Really disappointed. It looks very cool. But for $89, forget it. I have a $99 Sony turntable that I bought before a good setup. So I connected it. The drop from my goodies to $99 is barely noticeable. Approaching this point is like jumping to a 1920's crank phonograph. All I have to do is run my $99 through an amp for my desktop idea.
