$140 saved on parts

I was checking every parts store and GM dealer looking for this particular pump when mine broke down. They all wanted $276 to $330 for this pump. When I installed it, it fitted my 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 exactly. The only thing I had to change was the connector on the truck that powers the pump itself, but this pump comes with a spare so it was easy. Cut and strip 4 wires, then connect and connect a new connector. I suggest getting a new retaining clamp and a set of plastic clips for the fuel lines. It's only been a few weeks, but everything seems fine so far. The only reason I knocked off a sprocket is because the pump has been howling ever since it was installed. I don't know if this is the case with the pump or if it's something more serious, but time will tell.
