ACDelco MU1613 GM Fuel Pump and Level Sensor Module: Original Equipment with Seal, Float, and Harness Review

This is a simple fuel pump replacement. I noticed that other reviews said this pump only had two shafts instead of three, but I think they did that to make installation easier. The pump works fine. You need to install the new wiring harness that comes with the pump (there are instructions). Always clean the top of the tank before removing that old pump. Note: I always replace the plastic fuel line clamps when I change the pump. Dorman has both 5/16 and 3/8 inch packaging.

Perfect fit for my 2002 Silverado with 5.3L V8 engine. not perfect - then the fuel gauge will not fit 1/8 tank - and the pump itself is not that big. I bought the pump for $50 and you can see the size difference. - hence - it will work, but only for a short time. But this AC DELCO pump is perfect for the Chevy V8 5.3 - take my word for it and save yourself the trouble of doing it more than once. but twice. With this pump you are well prepared.

Everything arrived safe and sound, well packaged and protected. Instructions for one of the two electrical connections are included with the new wiring harness. Only an updated wiring harness is needed. Also included is a hard rubber/plastic insert. Fairly easy repair/replacement. Everything came like a glove. I was checking every parts store and GM dealer looking for this particular pump when mine broke down. They all wanted $276 to $330 for this pump. When I installed it, it fitted my 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 exactly. The only thing I had to change was the connector on the truck that powers the pump itself, but this pump comes with a spare so it was easy.
