The drawbacks will be outlined below. To start off, I'll admit that I've purchased two of these smartphones, and they both suffer from the same issues. According to the phone's specs, everything is good, but in practice, it's not. Applications, whether native or third-party, automatically reload when minimized; switching between three open apps simultaneously is difficult without losing work in each. When an app freezes and refuses to close when you tap its icon, you'll need to use a swipe to close it. Over extended periods of time after a reboot, the phone may display a blank desktop. The fingerprint scanner is sluggish; even the older Xiaomi mi note 3 was much quicker. Sometimes, even after unlocking the phone, it will still be in "pocket mode" and unusable until a swipe is made. Yet despite the fact that such a mode does exist, it is of no use, as both the camera and the flashlight can still activate while in your pocket for some reason. The proximity sensor is also bad; you can be holding the phone on the table while dialing a number and have the screen go black as if you had brought it to your ear, or perhaps the opposite would be true: you could put the phone up to your ear while on a call and have the screen stay on. It appears I did not purchase a genuine Samsung but rather a knockoff. I've now had this happen with two different devices I've purchased. There is no custom firmware, themes, or launchers, and no root access is required.
