Review on iFJF S3213 Fuel Water Separating Filter Replacement with O-ring for Outboard Motors by Paul Rosemark

Questionable production - fittings do not sit in the head.

The first unit I received had three bad connectors in the head assembly. You can only screw fittings halfway. I contacted the company, apparently in China, and they sent me a replacement after about a month of waiting. All four ports of the replacement can only be screwed in halfway. I emailed the company asking if this is a defect or if it is the design. I doubt it's a design issue as other fuel water separators allow full fitting installation. I also took a close look at the fittings and they don't look conical. Since only one of the original's ports seemed normal, I suspect both are faulty. Luckily I didn't throw away my old block, so I'm using the head from that block with a new filter and bowl. The fact that the company is based in China makes solving problems difficult due to time constraints and language barriers. If they don't convince me that the devices work, I will not buy their products in the future. Follow up. The seller has issued a refund. They claim to have changed the specs or design during the manufacturing process and are aware that some of the connectors don't properly match the main unit's threads. All in all, they were easy to work with. But I would not buy their products again in the future.

  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Hard to tell
