The best adapter for Italy!

First things first: Adapters and converters are two different beasts. In March I traveled to Italy with 7 teenage girls from the USA. Among all the different adapters provided by each girl's parents, the girls relied the most on this adapter that I bought for my daughter and for myself. Many of the girls brought international converter or adapter kits (from places like Brookstone, Target, WalMart) which not only confused us all, they were bulky and ultimately useless. especially) to Italy - buy three of these to send abroad. Because most students are in their rooms only to sleep and shower, cameras, laptops, and cell phones only charge at night when they sleep. One adapter won't be enough to fully charge *all* of these things. One I used all night to run the Sound Machine app while my iPhone was fully charged and ready for the next day of sightseeing. Also keep in mind that most girls used their chargers to plug in the hair dryer after showering. do yourself a favor take three of them. They worked for us in Florence and in Rome. I still don't know why but a couple of girls who brought similar 3 and 2 pin adapters had very bad luck trying to charge their camera batteries. If I were to do this trip again I would buy six of these - three for my daughter and three for me. The best because this adapter is very small, it worked for us every time, other girls lined up to use them, they're cheap. Tips: -- Apple products don't need voltage converters. -- Get a dual-voltage hair dryer (Brookstone has a very good foldable hair dryer).
