Good power supplies

I bought 2 of these for our 3 week trip to Italy. I got 2 because some reviews said they get hot and stop working so I wanted to make sure I could charge my phone and camera batteries. They worked great and never felt hot. I also lent one to someone in our tour group to use, so glad I got 2. The reviews said you CANNOT use a hair dryer with them so I didn't even take my hair dryer and just used what hotels can provide. dry my hair In any case, I needed extra space in my suitcase. Delivery was…

Adapter for Italy in power accessories

The adapter is packaged, designed and finished much better than average! You still need a US-Europe adapter. Your US 110 volt device connects to an EU adapter which then connects to this product. Tips: Buy all your adapters and converters before you leave as the European retail sector is not as well established as the US close to all attractions! Buy a dual-voltage hair dryer and curling iron to avoid nasty surprises with converters and inadequate electrical wiring in your rooms. Attention…

Grounded 240V Adapter

However, Revain has published a review of a different adapter. I have both adapters and love them, but the adapter sold where this review is posted is NOT suitable for 240V panel sockets. This adapter is good because it is a grounded adapter. It's also designed to fit the recessed sockets that are sometimes found in Europe. You should have adapters with you that only have 2 pins, as many sockets in Europe are old and do not have a ground connection. Most 2-prong adapters I've seen fit recessed…

Works great in Italy

I bought this adapter to charge my laptop during my semester abroad in Italy. It works very well with grounded appliances - any appliance with a 3 pin US plug simply plugs in and the adapter then plugs into an Italian outlet. You can also use this 2 pin American plug adapter. As another reviewer mentioned, the only downside is that some Italian sockets only have 2 prongs and will not work with a grounded plug. However, I had no problem finding an outlet that worked with this adapter and I live…

The best adapter for Italy!

First things first: Adapters and converters are two different beasts. In March I traveled to Italy with 7 teenage girls from the USA. Among all the different adapters provided by each girl's parents, the girls relied the most on this adapter that I bought for my daughter and for myself. Many of the girls brought international converter or adapter kits (from places like Brookstone, Target, WalMart) which not only confused us all, they were bulky and ultimately useless. especially) to Italy - buy

  • This is great

  • Some bugs
