Review on ๐Ÿณ Enhanced Calphalon Premier Space Saving Cookware Set - 15-Piece Nonstick Pots and Pans Collection by Laura Wright

Convenience meets inconvenience

These pots/pans are of excellent quality. Material and workmanship are top. I have owned it for 6 months. I have always loved to cook and ended up buying this 15 piece set as a 25th birthday gift. I thought this was the last set we bought; and they probably will. They feel like they'll last forever. They heat up evenly and the quality of the non-stick coating is excellent. However. The design feature of stacking pots one inside the other has a downside. They only add up correctly in a certain order. In other words, a stack of 5 pots can only be stacked one way. The 3rd bank on the stack is always the 3rd bank on the stack. This is because shallow pots fit into deeper pots (but not the other way around). They are conical, meaning they are smaller at the bottom than at the top. Also, they aren't marked, so you'll have to remember the order or play a puzzle when putting away the clean pots/pans. With a large 15 piece set I always feel like I need the pan at the bottom and have to pull the whole stack out of the cupboard to get the pan I want. Putting a clean pan back in the cupboard means the same thing. Pull the whole stack out of the cupboard so I can put the bottom pot back inside. Sounds easy enough, except these things are HARD. (And the stacks are heavier). My wife and 2 teenage daughters don't clean them anymore, they leave them on the counter for me to clean; it's a little annoying. Culinary they are very good - I like them very much. Regarding convenience โ€“ the ability to stack increases both convenience and inconvenience at the same time. They save space, but cause a lot of effort/work. You can hang them, but that would defeat the point of spending extra money on stacking abilities. I really like her (a lot), but it's hard to say that I love her for those reasons. Great product, but unfortunately not perfect. If you don't need 9 pots and 6 lids, one of the smaller sets might be fine. I cook a lot and there are at least 3 pots and 3 lids that I haven't used yet (apart from removing/replacing them from my cupboards 100 times).
