I usually never leave negative reviews, I just don't even bother to leave them, but I can't ignore this purchase. This is the second order from this seller who buys 2 blocks of this air dried clay each time. The first order was perfect, the tone was exactly as it should be; white, cloudy, airy, smooth. Ideal. This second order was absolutely NOTHING like the tone it was meant to be. Both clay bricks were more like natural gray clay, totally unwieldy. Even if you cover it with wet towels, it doesn't dry out immediately. This is 100% NOT air dried paper clay, it is 100% natural clay ready to be thrown on the wheel. I decided to take it easy and try to finish my project for a client. As expected, it came out like garbage. I couldn't even count the number of cracks in a dried piece, even if someone had paid me to do it. Needless to say, I've run out of materials for the sculpting; CLAY, rebar, quartz bricks, foliage, miniature bricks, glue, paint, etc. I called Sculpey directly on their website and asked if this was their new "Polyform Model Air Dry Clay" line, rather than on the number on the box. ' they said absolutely not, and that they pride themselves on selling exactly what it says on the box. You win something, you lose something. Good luck guys and fingers crossed I hope you get a good batch.
