There was a problem with the built in cheap motorcycle light - the light stayed on and couldn't turn it off without pulling the hot wire from the battery to reset it. I installed this simple switch hidden under the heat reflector in the crotch as a general on/off switch. Now I just use it to turn the lights on and off knowing they won't get stuck again and slowly draining my battery.
