Much easier than green!
A while ago I went the cheap route and bought some green cleaning sponges which I cut up and put in the filter instead of this one. I have to say the "green" certainly worked, but I love the ease of use offered by this genuine Eheim filter pad! Looking at the box I also noticed that the first pre-filter gasket had to be UNDER the plastic cover. I also discovered this after putting it on top and setting everything up. I'll fix that the next time I clean the filter.
