Item is fine. They're supposed to be self-tapping, but if you try to install them on an old truck you may have trouble. The two pieces had their threads completely stripped when attempting to mount them in the factory holes for which they were designed. The head of the bolt also started to peel off, but my hex didn't have a scratch. It appears to be a softer metal than I expected, especially for self-tapping an existing hole. This is disappointing to say the least. But I emailed the seller (Quirkparts) and they sent a replacement kit without hesitation. I was able to install the replacement screw without any problems. The overall experience is positive due to Quirkparts' excellent customer service.
