Review on MozArt Supplies Watercolor Pad Type by Jessica Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good, economical choice for watercolor lovers.

Unfortunately I had to return this item as mine arrived damaged. However, I have since bought it back and reviewed its movements. This is a good, economical paper for cold pressing. The texture is a little rougher than other cold pressed pads I've used. But the texture really adds to the finished look of the painting. Just wanted to point out a slight "roughness" as I have a feeling people with sensory issues might not like it. The colors apply well and remain bright once dry. It was well glazed and stood up. Although I'm not sure if intensive brushing will affect the texture over time. The only downside I found about this paper is the cover. The cover of my original purchase was too small compared to the watercolor paper inside. This damaged the paneling in the lower corners. This is the reason for the 4 star rating. If the case was better and the price stayed the same I would give 5 stars. It's not the best paper, but it's of very good quality, especially for the low price. It's definitely worth a try to see if it suits your own watercolor style and needs.

Pros
  • ACHIEVE AMAZING RESULTS. The slightly rough texture of our premium heavyweight paper makes it the best watercolor album for stunning results; Our paper is resilient and tests show it won't warp, crease or wear down, even with large amounts of water; Works well with watercolors, watercolor brushes, calligraphy inks and colored pencils
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
