Works well, with some not so good things.

While touch screens are not meant to be abused, this screen definitely needs to be more secure than a regular screen. Pros: Works as intended, no driver downloads, and minimal setup. Big enough to actually see what you're doing on the Pi or whatever you're using as a monitor. Does not require a separate power supply. Comes with an adapter for Mini HDMI Pi4. The screen's accuracy when touched is within acceptable limits, and we haven't noticed any dropouts so far. Cons: The top layer of the screen is already layered after simply peeling the protective plastic off the screen. It started in the corners and progresses. I'm not sure how long the touch screen will last. The included HDMI cable feels stiff, so placing the screen versus placing the Pi or CPU box comes down to how easy it is to bend to stay in the ports. .The length of the USB cable (to connect the touch screen and power the monitor) is so long that it is difficult to plan and set up the layout of the CPU and monitor unit, this must be taken into account before permanent installation. Overall it's not bad for the money, but be prepared to shell out a bit more for a better quality HDMI cable and a longer USB to micro USB cable to simplify the layout. Make sure you protect the screen from any snags or bumps that could accelerate delamination.

Pros
  • Operating voltage: 12V 1A, supply current requirements within the above 2A, built-in 400mA DC boost regulator to power the LCD backlight.
Cons
  • Very expensive
