I received the Katana Safety Wallet from my husband about 2 weeks ago. I like to go for a walk early in the morning when the paths are almost empty and the temperature is more bearable. After all, this is Austin in the summer. My centers are also increasingly concerned about my lonely walks as the crime rate in our city seems (unfortunately) to be on the rise. I told him I would have my cell phone with me, yes. He then enlightened me on the difference between using my katana and calling 911 - the katana could pinpoint exactly where I was EXACTLY. 911 roamed the trail looking for me. There's also a "Walk With Me" feature in case I don't feel safe - someone will stay on the line with you until you're safe. It's worth it. My niece is going to school out of state this fall. She doesn't know anyone there. I just ordered one for her.
