It seems that every piece of furniture or chair (and a growing number of products) requires socket wrenches to put them together. Two options: use the wrench that comes with it (usually too small in my large hands to use it very well) or find one you have that wasn't terrible but took time and then more time to figure out , which was correct. . You then spend an eternity (well, it felt) slowly turning the key, shrinking over time as you turn it a quarter turn since that's all that fits and you have to pull it out and reposition. However, these things are amazing. First, they're in a tray, and it's easy to check every bit to quickly find the right one. Second, you connect to a cordless drill and spin it slowly so you don't undress, but you still do it in an absolute fraction of the time. You can also buy English and metric kits so you have all the options at once and at a very affordable price without having to refinance your vehicle. Finally, if it's a really deep bolt or screw (which often means the included wrench probably won't work, if at all), you put an extension on it and don't have to do any acrobatics to get it back out. These parts might not be necessary, but you'll have one less reason to curse Ikea or Walmart, and you'll (probably) be a lot better at staying sane too. Also, you can throw away the box with all those old hex keys to finally put the car back in the garage.
